State Cup News Release

What this means for our club: each family will save approximately $600 in travel expense for this tournament. It also means that each team will be responsible for one part of making this tournament go smoothly. 

Following registration in the fall, we will have a meeting with team representatives to discuss how we can best divide up the many tasks.

Two requests:

1. Graphic Designers: If you are a graphic designer, or know someone who is, we need to come up with a design that will appear on all apparel, on the state pins and referee coins, and on correspondences regarding the state tournament. Please contact Jen Gummer for more information.

2. Help with registration: If you would like to help out with the fall registration, please contact Jen Gummer.

2006 Montana State Cup to be held in Bozeman!

The State AA Soccer Tournament will be held in Bozeman on May 27, 28 and 29th - Memorial Weekend. The games will be played at the Bozeman High School Fields and at MSU Lincoln Fields.

This is Montana’s largest youth sporting event. Bozeman alone has 11 teams ranging from U-13 to U-19.  We are looking at a minimum of 1,500 athletes to come to Bozeman, which in turn means an earning potential for the Gallatin Valley of $3 - $5 million.

All teams are focused on becoming the next State Champion and earning a ticket to the Regional Tournament in Boise, Idaho in June.

Bozeman has not been considered for hosting the State tournament before because our hotel accommodations were not met and our community could not handle the number of participants and the families also coming to town.

So please consider any contribution of time and / or sponsorship. We are looking for volunteers for sponsorship, time and monetary support to set up and run a successful tournament. Give us a hand and any help is valued and appreciated!
