The season came to a good end for
the U12 Girls Red Team at the Montana State Cup Showcase in Helena.
A season of many practices, some hard played games and good coaching
was evident to all as the Red Team went 3-0 in their bracket.

In the State Showcase in Helena, the U11BW team played four games.
In the first, game, Grant Marshall had a hat trick as the Blitzz
beat Missoula Strikers Red by a score of 7-3. Eli Harris
scored two goals and Ben Hietala two and Charlie Eichenberger had
two assists as the Blitzz overwhelmed a team that had taken us to
the limit twice before Ryan Garnsey played the entire game in
goal. In the second game, the Blitzz beat a Stevensville
Sabres combined team 5-2 behind two goals from Lester Suci.
Ben, Ryan Garnsey, and Casey Simeone also scored, with Charlie and
Austin Collins earning assists. Austin and Connor Brown manned
the pipes. On Sunday morning the Blitzz beat Butte White 4-1 in a
tightly played and physical game. Ben and Eli scored two goals
each, with Charlie getting the only assist. Ryan was back in
goal. The final game saw a worn-down Blitzz team lose a
heartbreaker to a fine Electric City Thunderbolts Royal team by a
score of 2-3. Ben got both of the goals (one on an assist by
Eli) and a hobbling Ryan played strong in goal. The Blitzz end
their league and tournament schedule with an overall record of
17-4-1. |
