The U11 White team had a successful weekend at the Magic City
Classic tournament in Billings. In their first game, they
defeated a Gillette (WY) Edge U12 team 4 to 1. Ryan Garnsey
and Nate Hense had two goals each; Ben Hietala had three assists and
Charlie Eichenberger one. Ben and Eli Harris served in goal.
In their second game, the Blitzz beat Great Falls T'bolts Silver 3-0, with Ben,
Nate, and Lester Suci notching unassisted goals. Connor Brown
and Austin Collins maintained a clean sheet in goal. The third
game was a letdown, with the Blitzz unable to crack the defense of a
Sheridan (WY) storm U12 team. Connor and Eli kept most, but
not all, of Sheridan's shots at bay. In the consolation
finals, Blitzz White faced Blitzz Blue and came away the victors
4-2, with Ryan tallying two goals (both on assists from Eli). Eli
one goal (assist from Lester), and Lester one. Austin and Ben
again manned the pipes. Third place! |
