Bozeman Blitzz Futbol Club
Coaching Application
Thank you for considering applying to coach with the Bozeman Blitzz Futbol
Club. We include a brief summary of the club coaching philosophy below; if
you would like more information please contact the Club Administrator at (406)
579-5516 to be directed to the appropriate person (herself, Club Coach, Coaching
Committee Chair, Club President...).
What we would like you to know about us is the following:
- We try to help players develop as individuals within the context of a
team sport and a Club umbrella.
- We form teams of players who are best suited for successful competition
at the designated level of play. Some players may play up; others may
play on a developmental team rather than a competitive one, but we try NOT
to cut any player at tryouts.
- We do not allow parents to coach their own children in competitive play
(U13 and up).
- We try to keep coaches at a given level that is appropriate to their
abilities and interests (like a school), rather than promote them with a
team. All of our competitive coaches have a minimum of a USSF "E"
license, and most have more advanced training.
- We pay coaches as much as we can from tuition-dominated income, based on
training, experience, and success in player development. We pay for
basic licensing and part of the cost of advanced licensing, as well as
travel costs associated with coaching the league-scheduled games.
- Our competitive season runs from late march to Regionals in June; our
developmental season to the state tournament in late June. Winter
practices are dependent upon team commitment, coach availability, and team
budget. We also maintain a fall program for those players not involved
in the high school soccer program (dominantly middle school age players) and
an Elite program for players who want to remain in training year-round.
- We are one of the largest clubs, and the most accomplished (with four
State champions each of the past two years) in the state in proportion to
our population. Soccer is alive and well in Bozeman!
What we would to know from you is the following
- What is your personal philosophy of soccer play and soccer coaching?
- What age and gender of players would you feel most comfortable coaching?
-
What is your history as a soccer
coach?
- What is your history as a soccer player?
- Can you supply us with one or more
references who can document your suitability as a coach for our Club?
- How should we contact you (e-mail,
telephone, postal address)?
If you wish to be considered for a coaching
