I.        CALL TO ORDER AT 7:05PM

II.     TREASURER REPORT

A.     Office moved to 1st Interstate Bank, including records, etc.

B.     See handouts:  Check register, profit/loss for October/November, balance sheet

C.     Question:  At what point are we to decide that the outstanding $10,000 is bad debt?  Still needs to be determined if this is “real” debt or just misaccounted.

D.     Bill Locke needs a list of past expenses – update items that should be attributed to last fiscal year but were taken care of this year.

E.      Question:  What is the balance of the investment account?

F.      Ed Orazem is working on tax year 2006.

G.     Consider putting $ into higher yielding account.

H.     Deb’s hours:  approx. 28 last month, 2-3 hours per week this month.

III.  OCTOBER MINUTES APPROVED AND PASSED UNANIMOUSLY

IV.  MICRO REPORT

A.     Shed cleaned up and missing signs found.  Consider getting large cardboard boxes to store balls.

B.     Idea for a newsletter with registration info – not in budget, but could use funds from last year’s state tournament.  Sue will put together a template.  Email her with ideas for content.  Perhaps Play It Again Sports could help with putting it together.

C.     Working on updating the Micro database and Micro finances.

D.     Micro coordinator – need to split up the workload so burden isn’t on one person.  December Web Page should have MICRO WANTED on front page.

E.      Idea for a preschool program involving older kids to help.

V.     ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT

A.     Received check for $7500 from state.  All receipts have been sent in.

B.     Deb Dechert has been great to work with, no issues or complaints.

VI.   PRESIDENT’S REPORT

A.     Spoke with Thom White of the city parks department regarding east field at Bronken.  It is beyond repair and won’t be playable in the spring.  Kerry Hatcher questioned whether the damage happened after sprinklers shut off.  However there’s the possibility that it died off from too much water, not too little.  Could be a drainage problem due to way the rock beneath is formed.  Kerry Hatcher will ask superintendent at Valley View for his expert opinion.

VII.           HEAD COACH REPORT

A.     Blitzz Elite:  Sent two teams to Turkey Shoot Tournament in Las Vegas.  Girls: 3 Ties, 1 win. Boys: 2 ties, 1 win, 1 loss.  Boys had one guest player from Missoula and girls had two guest players from Belgrade.  Nice to see mixing of players from other clubs.

B.     Coach Selection:  1 coach dropped out, so 4 positions to fill.  3 strong possibilities.  Email Chris Beausoleil if you have ideas for coaches.

C.     Will review PUMA contract with JD after Christmas.

D.     Is it possible to use a player’s father to coach U-15?  Policy against parent coaches above U-13 level.  Bill Robinson to tell Chris that the U-15 parent cannot coach his own child’s team.  To make an exception to this policy the coach would need to be extremely well-qualified, trained, credentialed, etc.

E.      Question brought up about parent coaches.  Is it possible to request not to have a parent coach at the developmental level?  Probably not a good idea as allowing parents to make requests raises other issues, which might cause more team formation problems.

VIII.        FACILITIES & EQUIPMENT COMMITTEE

A.     Nets down and put away

B.     Waiting to order new goals until after new year.

IX.   REFEREE LIAISON COMMITTEE –

A.     Each team to provide two reliable working refs or pay $.  At present reimbursement for refs is:  U-17 and up Centers $35/game AR $20/game.  The amount goes down according to the age level.  Consider having Club Referee hire refs.

X.     POLICY COMMITTEE

A.     Revisit parent coaches for the competitive level next summer.

XI.   NEW BUSINESS

A.     Refund policy:  If not placed on AA team, can player not decide to play on A team and get a refund?  At present policy says no.  What could be done to explain this more clearly to parents at registration?
